Anton began his career in the film industry in 1992. He worked in almost every department from Art Department, Lighting and Grips to Camera. His Graphic Design talents however drew him away from the industry, where he worked in advertising and other design fields until 2002 when he rejoined the industry. He focused on Production where his experience in the other departments within the industry has been a great asset to his production skills. Anton’s strength is his problems solving skills and his calm and competent manner under pressure. He enjoys the challenge that each production brings and his great organizational skills make him an excellent asset in Production.
Anton has returned to his love of imagery and is a videographer and photographer. He has been the DOP and operator on documentaries, television shows and live concerts. He was DOP most recently for season 3 of Outpatients on Fox Live. He has operated in planes, helicopters, paragliding, diving and from horseback.
His photography skills are very diverse, from international vehicle launches, modelling and behind the scenes to wildlife. He has done high profile work like a supplemental photographer for the international Porsche 911 launch at Kyalami and the launch material in South Africa of the premier Porsche line called Exclusive Manufaktur. He is a Canon South Africa evangelist and is asked to review and test high end cameras and lenses launched by Canon. He and his brother have done presentations at the Photo and Film Expo in 2010 / 2011 / 2012 / 2014 / 2019. He also presented at the Canon Roadshow 2017 – Johannesburg, Durban, Cape Town.
Anton often combines his different skills like on the 13 part television show for South African Tourism. He was the Producer, Production Manager, DOP and operator on this shoot. He has co DOP'ed on multi camera shoots, from the standard 2 camera set-up to 8, 26, 30 and the largest being a 40 camera shoot which won a SAFTA.
Added to this, Anton is also an editor so he understands the creative process from conceptualisation, through production, to shooting and then editing and production.
